About Last Hope 2 Life   LH2L
Chocolate Lab

LastHope2Life rescue was founded just last year, 2015 and is successfully saving and rehabilitating stray and unwanted dogs in the Barlad area of Romania.
It's founder Ana Grasu worked for many years at other rescues in Romania and was overwhelmed by the need for such a rescue in Barlad, decided on starting her own.
All the money for the rescue is raised from sponsorship and donations from the people of Romania as well as supporters in the UK, Germany, Switzerland and the US. Ana also works part time as an accountant for local firms and has invested both time and her own money into building one of Romania's leading dog rescues.

However, they need your help. There are so many rescues competing to survive while still more dogs become homeless daily.

The only creatures that are evolved enough to convey pure love are dogs and infants.

Below is a video of where many of the dogs start their introduction from street life to pound. It is a very disturbing video and viewers are advised some content may be upsetting.
The story starts at the local pound, more video can be found on our Videos page

The Future

LH2L are hoping to set up a neutering programme to alleviate some of the many unwanted births that are happening in the street dog community. Already they are in talks with their local vet who has been of great service to the shelter over the year.

There are plans also to develop the site further. At present, they have some 300 dogs and it is hoped that they will be able to make a start on some exercise yards to each side of the compound for the dogs to get a lot more play time outside.
Already this year they have laid new foundations, built accommodation for onsite security and started a borehole for water.
